Opportunities
Want to work with us?
We won't be accepting new students to start the fall of 2025. That's only temporary; check back for fall of 2026.
In general, the peep lab recruits quantitatively-inclined MS and PhD students and postdocs to work on research that leverages tools from economics and programming to solve interesting environmental challenges.
If you might be interested in joining the lab, please send Steve the following three things:
(1) Your CV or resume.
(2) A brief (1-2 paragraphs) description of your research interests and why you think CU ENVS and the lab would be best suited to help you pursue your goals.
(3) A short description of your experience and skills, including links to or copies of any work you’ve published.

Students
The lab currently has limited funding that is not already committed to current students.
HOWEVER, there's lots of other funding out there.
TAships and RAships are available on campus.
You are strongly encouraged to apply for external fellowships. CU has some excellent resources on national fellowships, including a number of resources for students from under-represented groups. More generally, the NSF GRFP and DOE CSGF might be of interest for quantitatively-minded students.
Steve is happy to work with you on fellowship applications! Please reach out.
Postdocs
The lab currently does not have funding to support new postdocs.
HOWEVER, there's lots of other funding out there.
